1. Acceptance of these terms
The BANI Upsilon Galleon app ("the Galleon") is the private members portal of Brothers Across Nigeria Int'l — Upsilon Galleon. By ticking "I agree to the Terms of Use" and signing in, you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not sign in or use the portal.
2. Membership conduct
The Galleon exists so brothers can stay connected with honour. You agree to treat every member with respect, post truthfully, and protect the privacy of the brotherhood. Accounts are personal — never share your credentials or let anyone else use your session.
3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content
There is ZERO TOLERANCE on this portal for objectionable content or abusive users. Objectionable content includes, without limitation: harassment, bullying or threats; hate speech or discrimination of any kind; sexually explicit or pornographic material; graphic violence; content that promotes illegal activity; impersonation; spam or scams; and the sharing of another person's private information without consent. Posting such content — in the Reel, comments, galleries, chat rooms, direct messages, Happy Hour or anywhere else on the portal — is a violation of these terms.
4. Content filtering
The portal automatically filters objectionable language from posts, comments and chat messages. Filtering is a safety net, not a licence — attempting to evade the filter is itself a violation of these terms.
5. Reporting objectionable content
Every post, comment, gallery item and chat message carries a Report (flag) option. If you see objectionable content, report it. The Captain (administrator) reviews every report and will act within 24 hours — removing the offending content and, where warranted, ejecting the offending user by locking their account.
6. Blocking abusive users
You may block any member from their profile page or from their posts. Blocking instantly removes that member's posts, comments, gallery uploads and chat messages from your feeds, and notifies the administrator so the behaviour can be reviewed. The blocked member is not informed. You can unblock a member at any time from their profile.
7. Enforcement
The Captain may remove any content and suspend or permanently lock any account, at any time and without prior notice, for violating these terms. Reported content is reviewed and acted upon within 24 hours. Users who post objectionable content will have that content removed and may be ejected from the portal.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post, but you grant the organisation permission to display it inside the portal to fellow members. You are responsible for everything posted from your account. Do not post content you do not have the right to share.
9. Confidential material
Material marked confidential (including the confidential gallery) is protected, watermarked and download-tracked. Sharing confidential material outside the brotherhood is a serious violation and may result in immediate ejection.
10. Termination
Membership of the portal may be ended by the administrator at any time. You may request deletion of your account and content by contacting the administrator.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, a notice will be posted on the portal. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
